The 1920s are best represented by The Great Gatsby and other great 20s musicals. Decadent parties filled with Prohibition-era alcohol and music for a society that had seen its end with the War and felt the end of the Great Depression. Women had bobbed hair styles and wore sequined fashion gowns that flowed just below their knees. The 1920's dancing was inspired and the jazz was amazing. There is no wonder as to why this era makes for a great 20s costumes party.
