Halloween is a period when you see an exhibition of some funny and amazing costumes by both adults and kids. For these costumes, you could buy them on online stores that sell them or you could choose to make them yourself from your bunch of collections. The truth is, some of these items are stuck in your closet and you never get to put them on. You will just need to be creative to make a good combination from what you’ve got. So if you do not want to spend money on easy costumes that might not be your everyday clothing, we have got some fun DIY ideas for you.
Minnie Mouse
Items you will need: Black tights (Polka Dot preferably), red dress, black belt, black pumps, mouse ears and bow, red lipstick, black eyeliner and red nail polish.
You probably have a red dress and black belt somewhere? How about some of these accessories listed above? You can create fun Halloween costumes out of that. Just pair your red dress with a black belt, black pumps and black tights. The black eyeliner is for nose and whiskers, and weird black cat-eye. Complete your Minnie mouse look with your red lip stick and red nail polish. As for the Minnie mouse ear, you can create one using an old headband or purchase at an online store.
If you want to make one by yourself, you have to cover cardboard circles with black trash bags or fabric and join the cardboard circles to the headband with a black electrical tape. To ensure the circles are secure, you need to wrap with the tape. Add a red and white polka dot ribbon bow.
Cute Carrot
Items you will need: Orange dress, orange tights or leggings, thick headband (green, orange or brown), ribbon (thick green or orange), superglue, faux greens, orange, green or brown accessories.
Simply get an orange dress and tights/leggings, put on some shoes and a carrot greens headpiece.
To make the headpiece, get a thick headband and some faux plant which you tie together with an orange bow to look like a bunch. Otherwise, you could go for aquarium plants which are already bunched together and come with a base so you do not have any troubles gluing them to your headband. If the part of the green joining looks messy, cover it up with a big orange or green bow and it will look good.
Now it is time to get your footwear on. Go for some green or orange shoes if you have one. Brown boots will do too. Accessorize your Halloween outfits with some green, orange and brown jewellery and make up and you will, just like carrots, be looking good for the eyesight.
