If you have been to any 1980s party recently, I can bet you saw more than one person donning a Madonna outfit. Clearly, this is no surprise. Madonna is unarguably one of the most celebrated icons in the 80s. And when it comes to the fashion trend, she stole the show. Now we will take a closer look at some of those items she usually put together, which in turned defined the entire 80s fashion.

Mesh Tops
Despite the fact that mesh had been around before Madonna rocked the scene, it is no doubt that she took mesh tops to a whole new level, turning underwear into outwear, just enough to cover up the vamp.
Cross Necklaces
Very frequently, Madonna was seen with a cross around her neck, ultimately turning the perceived religious iconography into a fashion statement. Thanks to Madge, cross necklaces became cool in the 80s.
Gloves
The music and fashion icon often accessorizes herself in gloves, which come in a selection of different designs such as leather, lace or wool. It is difficult to tell who rocked the gloves better at the time between her and Michael Jackson.
Lace
While this was often seen as wedding dresses and table adornments, Madonna redefined the wearing of lace pieces, turning it to a street wear.

Madonna was never shy about flaunting her midriff, with her bared midriff tops. If you watched a lot of her videos in the 80s, you would probably get tired of seeing her midriff.
Leather
Very often we did see Madge displaying her badass chic whenever she appeared in a classic Madonna Fashion leather jacket.
Colored tight
The revered celebrity did not limit the fashion to just her upper part. She made sure her legs received some love by donning some colored tights that complemented the Madonna look.
Ripped Jeans
